Monica Walker – Michigan Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network (MI OPEN)
This presentation will assess the role that stigma plays in creating barriers to seeking, achieving, and maintaining recovery from an opioid use disorder.
Monica earned a BA in Psychology from University of Michigan, a BS in Nursing from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Administration with a healthcare concentration from Central Michigan University. Her work experience has been predominantly in emergency and perianesthesia nursing, with several years in nurse management prior to joining Michigan Medicine.
