CMREN announces the opportunity to support those in long-term recovery from a life-altering SUD experience.

CMREN announces the opportunity to support those in long-term recovery from a life-altering SUD experience, who desire to become a CCAR certified Peer Recovery Coach and/or a C-IAYT certified Yoga RecoveryTherapy Coach. CMREN will provide TEN (10) $500 awards to the first ten qualified applicants, through June 2025, who live in the CMREN region of Mecosta, Osceola, Newaygo, Montcalm, and Lake counties.
Application Qualifying Requirements:
Resides in the CMREN region.
Meet the requirements of their specific certification.
Testifies to a minimum of 2-years sustainable recovery, from substance use disorder, with a life-disrupting experience, and willing to share their story.
Credible reference support – minimum of two professional references (employer, peer recovery coach, therapist, pastor, probation officer, etc.).
Proof of certification training acceptance in a C-CAR or C-IAYT training program.
Statement of Interest demonstrates desire and planned intent for use of certification.
The maximum award is $500.00, to be paid directly to the training facility toward the student’s tuition, following proof of acceptance to the program.
CMREN will pay the full tuition, up to $500.00 or partial tuition up to $500.00 per award.
Students will be required to submit a copy of the completed certificate upon completion of the program.
Students may apply for a second award for a different training program, e.g., C-CAR and C-IAYT.
This funding will be offered annually throughout the grant cycle, as it is available.
